Okay so don't think this picture is the only reason I'm an Obama supporter. Truthfully, I can't say I like everything about him, like I really wish he supported universal healthcare. So I wouldn't be too devastated if Hillary won. Either one of them would be better than the current administration, obviously. I liked Edwards better than Obama and Clinton, and Kucinich better than all of them.
Seeing as I can't vote yet, this is all slightly irrelevant, and mostly I wanted to point out the sheer awesomeness of this particular photo.

some changes, plus scotland
so....
what used to be love/hate is going to become a less structured type blog that won't be updated daily. my first attempts at blogging went badly as far as consistency, after only a few days i gave up on the "daily" aspect of it. this is my second try, and it won't be an everyday thing.
I've decided that one of the countries I want to visit most is Scotland, and to justify this decision here are:
10 REASONS TO LOVE SCOTLAND

- The accent.
- The landscape.
- Ewan McGregor.
- The long list of Scottish inventions, including the waterproof macintosh (raincoat), the fountain pen, and criminal fingerprinting.
- Belle & Sebastian and Franz Ferdinand.
- Hogwarts.
- Bagpipes.
- Scotland's new slogan, with a 12.5 thousand pound price tag, is "Welcome to Scotland."
- Only 130 of its 790 islands are inhabited.
- Its official animal is the unicorn."Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" means, basically, "None provoke me unpunished" or "No one attacks me and gets away with it."
- Yeondoo Jung's photos from his Wonderland collection are based on the drawings of little kids.

artists and subways

what i love:
the song 'the story of an artist' by daniel johnston. its pretty and sad and generally the kind of thing to listen to all the time.
what i hate: slow subway trains. they are beyond infuriating, especially when you know you're gonna be late and the train moves unbelievably slow. or it outright stops.
i'm surprised i haven't had a tantrum about this yet.

its so illogical!
according to these definitions, the day goes: 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11. it doesnt make sense that 12 should come before 1.

today i love: hershey's cherry cordial kisses! i usually prefer the plain kisses to any of the special ones (especially the hugs, i hate white chocolate) but these are amazing.
today i hate:chapped lips. they're especially bad this week as i'm just getting over being sick all winter break and the temperature dropped down to a "19 degrees but feels like 7" in the city. of course this is the week when all my chapstick mysteriously disappears. ouch.
extra love today:
- the alternate version of the levi's commercial with the phonebooth. i kinda hated the original but i'm glad to see them trying something newer in the media.
- rami kashou's dress for the "eye candy" challenge on project runway. shmexy. chris march's dress was pretty hot too.
- this book of modern "pop surrealist" artists, including mark ryden, marion peck, and shag.
